Bro. Jarrod Helms joined our staff as full-time associate pastor in November of 2023. Bro. Jarrod surrendered to the ministry in January of 2016 at Providence Baptist Church in Town Creek Alabama. He served as outreach minister there for one year prior to becoming the pastor at Siloam Baptist Church in Russellville Alabama in January of 2017. Bro. Jarrod served as the pastor of Siloam for almost seven years before accepting the call into full-time ministry at EHBC.

Prior to his surrender to full-time ministry here at EHBC, Bro. Jarrod spent 18 years as a high school teacher and football coach. He and his wife, Tara, have four children, Anna, Brady, Bella, and Noah. Bro. Jarrod holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education from the University of North Alabama, Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University, Master of Pastoral Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Pastoral Ministry also from NOBTS.

Bro. Jarrod’s favorite verse is Luke 9:23, “And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
